Construction of Tashkent TV tower had begun in 1978 and on January 15th, 1978 it began work. Its height is 375 meters which is 75 meters higher than the famous Eiffel tower. Weight of Tashkent TV tower is 6000 tons, 3000 tons less than the creation of Eiffel.
This State museum of history was opened in Tashkent on the 18th of October, 1996 in commemoration of 660th anniversary of Amir Timur, the great state governor and commander. The museum was founded by the initiative and under the supervision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Abduganievich Karimov.
Modern Djuma mosque (The main Friday mosque) is the main focus of the Reg-istan complex situated in Chorsu square district. The first construction of the mosque was accomplished with support of Sheikh Ubaydulla Ahror in the 15lh century.
