Cut meat into small pieces, sear in hot oil. Add sliced onions and saute until golden-brown. Then add tomatoes and mix well. Remove from heat and add cubed or sliced potatoes and carrots and tomato paste. Cook another 10-12 minutes, mix in salt, spices, cover with water and bring to a boil. Stew until potatoes are done. Garnish with chopped green onions or fresh coriander.
